Hi! My name is Kendall! I graduated from University of North Carolina Wilmington with a Bachelor’s in Psychology in 2023. I am a current student at Liberty University in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program and plan to graduate in December of this year. I have previously worked in Applied Behavioral Analysis with children. I have also worked as a teacher for upper elementary students. I am passionate about supporting individuals through anxiety, depression, and traumatic experiences. I will work with individuals through CBT to guide clients towards their goals. I will strive to create a space that is safe and judgment free. I want to ensure that individuals feel understood through creating a strong therapeutic relationship. In my free time I enjoy being creative through painting or knitting. I also enjoy being outside on walks or golfing.

Childhood and adolescence can be exciting, but they can also come with challenges. Whether a child is struggling with anxiety, big emotions, friendships, school stress, behavior concerns, low self-confidence, or adjusting to life changes, I strive to create a supportive space where they feel understood and accepted. Before beginning my counseling career, I worked as both a substitute teacher and paraprofessional in elementary schools. As a paraprofessional, I worked one-on-one with students who had Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), supporting children with autism, behavioral and emotional challenges, and academic needs. These experiences gave me a firsthand understanding of how every child learns and grows differently. They also showed me how meaningful early intervention can be and inspired my passion for helping children during these important stages of development. I love helping children, tweens, and adolescents learn healthy ways to manage anxiety, express their emotions, improve self-esteem, navigate friendships, cope with school-related stress, and work through difficult transitions. I believe therapy should be a place where young people feel comfortable being themselves while building practical coping skills they can use at home, at school, and in everyday life. Whether we're talking, playing games, creating art, or using other age-appropriate activities, my goal is for each client to leave feeling more resilient and empowered.
