Hey there! Thanks for taking the time to learn a bit more about me, the process of finding a therapist can be a daunting process... but I am here every step of the way. I work primarily with children, teens, and young adults, and much of my experience comes from both outpatient therapy and higher levels of care. I am currently EMDR in training, which can be used for many individuals of all ages. These experiences have shaped me into who I am as a counselor and helped me feel confident supporting more complex situations with individuals while still keeping therapy approachable and human. At the core of my work is a deep passion for trauma. I believe trauma can look very different from person to person, and I strive to create a space where individuals don't feel the need to compare or minimize their story, even if they don't know exactly what that story is. My goal is to help you feel safe enough to be real, understood enough to feel seen, and supported enough to make meaningful changes. My ~style~ is highly relational, warm, and engaged. I tend to bring a lot of energy and authenticity into sessions, which helps individuals feel more comfortable being themselves in the space. I also am not afraid to gently and strategically challenge and help lean into the discomfort that often comes with real healing and growth. I truly see counseling as both a science and an art form. Above all, therapy should feel like a space where you are not talking in circles, but actually moving forward to create change in whatever way that looks like.

I believe therapy should be a place where you feel truly seen, heard, and understood, where you don’t have to question whether your experiences are valid. This work is deeply personal to me. I know what it’s like to feel unheard or dismissed within the healthcare system, and that experience shapes the way I show up as a therapist. I strive to create a space where you feel genuinely listened to, taken seriously, and supported in a way that feels human- not cold or clinical. While we can’t control what has happened to us, we can take back a sense of control in how we move forward. Together we can make sense of your experiences, reconnect with yourself, and build tools that help you feel more grounded. I work with individuals from diverse backgrounds, with a specialized focus in perinatal mental health (PMADs), partner support during the perinatal period, and trauma- including sexual and physical abuse. I also support clients navigating eating disorders, mood disorders, narcissistic abuse, relationship challenges, major life transitions, chronic illness, and grief. I hold a strong passion for somatic and mind-body approaches, as our bodies often carry what we’ve been through. My style is warm, collaborative, and down to earth. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck in patterns, struggling in relationships, or simply not like yourself, I am here to support you without judgment.

You are sick of feeling the guilt, frustration, and a constant need to “fix” yourself. You’re tired of yo-yo dieting and hating yourself. You want the guilt and shame to go away so you can feel normal. You feel like you gain weight just by looking at food. You crave sugar all the time. It seems like others don’t experience this struggle as you do. You don't feel in control of your emotions or your body. Work and home responsibilities make things seem even harder to control. Life feels like a vicious cycle you can’t escape. This cycle is exhausting and you are ready for a change. Society is filled with negativity and stereotypes. You deserve a helping hand from someone who’s been there and gets YOU. Someone who understands and validates how HARD it can be to deal with the constant stress of hormones and their impacts on our lives; someone who advocates for you to be the best version of yourself. It is possible to build a better relationship with yourself and others. We can figure it out together in a safe space. I can help you find the change you’re seeking on your path to wellness. I’ll believe in you and help you find your voice. You’re not broken - you’re burned out. Let’s rebuild. If any of this speaks to you, come and take off your shoes, let your hair down, and let’s chat!

EMDR, Brainspotting, CBT, DBT, ACT, and mind-body approaches such as somatic awareness, and sound-based mindfulness.

Seeking therapy is an intentional and courageous step toward becoming more fully yourself, while gently releasing the negative patterns, beliefs, and narratives that no longer support the life you want to live. It’s a space where growth is honored, where healing unfolds at your own pace, and where letting go can be just as powerful as moving forward. I would be honored to support you in rediscovering your inner resilience, reconnect with your authentic self, and cultivate a life rooted in clarity, compassion, and meaningful change. As a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA), my style is person-centered,trauma-informed, and holistic. I blend evidence-based psychotherapies including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Brainspotting, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Psychoanalysis, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), with mind-body approaches such as somatic awareness and sound-based mindfulness. Likewise, my PhD in Communication deeply shapes the way I show up as a counselor. It allows me to attune not only to what is being said, but also to what may be felt, implied, or held in silence, helping us gently uncover patterns in relationships, meaning-making, and emotional expression. Being a kid, teen, young adult, (or parent!) today is really hard. There’s so much to keep up with; school pressure, friendships, family dynamics, social media, big changes, and even bigger emotions. It can feel overwhelming, and sometimes it’s hard to know what kind of support will actually make a difference. You don’t have to figure it all out on your own. I work with children, teens, young adults, and families to create a space that feels comfortable, supportive, and easy to walk into. I love supporting clients and families through a range of experiences, including ADHD, autism, anxiety, depression, eating concerns, and life transitions, while helping to build understanding, confidence, and tools that feel meaningful and doable. Before becoming a therapist, I spent years working in schools as both an educator and a school counselor. Because of that, I really understand how much of life happens at school, and how challenging it can be for both kids and parents to navigate. I love helping families work through things like academic stress, social challenges, school transitions, behavior concerns, and school support plans and advocacy, so that things can start to feel more manageable day to day. My approach is very relational and personalized. With younger kids, that often means incorporating play, art, creativity, and movement to help them open up and build skills in ways that feel natural. With teens and young adults, it might look like talking things through, building insight, and finding practical tools to actually use in real life. I also work closely with parents, offering support and guidance along the way. Starting therapy can feel like a big step, but it doesn’t have to feel intimidating. If you’re looking for a place where you or your child can feel understood, supported, and a little more at ease, I would love to connect.

Hi, I’m Kendall! I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of North Carolina Wilmington in 2023 and am currently finishing my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University, with plans to graduate in December. I have experience working with children through Applied Behavioral Analysis and as a teacher for upper elementary students. These roles helped shape my calm, patient approach and reinforced my passion for supporting people through life’s challenges. I’m especially interested in working with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, and the impact of traumatic experiences. In sessions, I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients work toward their goals in a way that feels practical and empowering. Creating a safe, supportive, and judgment-free space is very important to me. I want you to feel heard, understood, and comfortable being yourself, and I believe a strong therapeutic relationship is key to meaningful change. Outside of work, I enjoy being creative through painting and knitting, and I love spending time outdoors—whether that’s going for a walk or playing a round of golf.

I believe that we all face different struggles throughout life, whether they stem from past trauma, self-esteem challenges, relationship difficulties, anxiety, depression, or simply the weight of everyday stress. Often, we don’t know how to face these challenges. Sometimes, because we lack the tools, and sometimes because we doubt our ability to overcome them. I also believe that deep down, we each hold the answers we need. My role as a counselor is to help you find the space, support, and confidence to unlock those answers within yourself. Before becoming a counselor, I spent several years working with families in both public and private schools as a special educator. After starting my own family, I found myself reflecting deeply on what I wanted life and parenting to look like. My work supporting growing families through birth work further shaped my understanding of connection and resilience. Then, after my own experience with postpartum anxiety, I realized how powerful it can be to feel seen, supported, and guided during difficult transitions. That experience inspired me to become a counselor, so I could offer that same compassion and support to others. I have a passion for supporting children, adolescents, and adults to build confidence, connection, and self-awareness. Using play and relational approaches, I support children and their parents in communication, processing their emotions, and problem-solving. I am especially passionate about working with children who have ADHD or Autism and their families. I help adolescents and adults navigate identity, relationships, stress, and life changes, creating space to process emotions, build coping skills, and find balance and confidence. As a counselor, I aim to create a safe, inclusive, and collaborative space where you can explore your story and connect with your authentic self. My approach is client-centered, meaning therapy is a partnership where we work together to uncover what healing and growth look like for you. My approach is grounded in Internal Family Systems (IFS), grounded in the belief that we all hold many inner “parts” that strive to protect and guide us. I integrate techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Emotion- Focused Therapy (EFT), and attachment theory, adapting to meet your individual needs. I also approach my work through a feminist lens, acknowledging how systemic and societal factors can shape our lived experiences. To Schedule: info@hartintegratedwellness.com

Therapy with me, will be about building goals, finding what works best for you, navigating self-love and confidence, and encouraging you to implement what skills/discoveries we make in our sessions into your day to day life. Some of my more recent journeys have led me to be incredibly passionate about mental health care for mother’s, women experiencing infertility, pregnancy loss, post-partum struggles and trauma from different birth experiences. I am trauma informed and have years of experience utilizing a written exposure treatment and currently I’m training to be EMDR certified. I use evidenced based and culturally informed theories in my practice like Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical-Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution-Focused, Strengths-based and Person-centered. I want all of my clients to succeed in work-life balance, have full-filling and loving relationships, and find what sparks their curiosity and joy in life. Therapy is challenging and rewarding, if you feel like we could be beneficial to each other and it’s time to start or renew your goals, I hope you reach out today. Therapy is for every person and I’m ready to start. To Schedule: info@hartintegratedwellness.com

I’m someone who has always been deeply curious about people — how we heal, how we grow, and how we remember who we truly are beneath all the noise. At heart, I’m both a scientist and a seeker. I love understanding the brain and behavior just as much as I love exploring consciousness, meaning, and the invisible threads that connect us all. My life has been a blend of psychology, personal growth, spirituality, and everyday human experience — learning not only from books and degrees, but from motherhood, relationships, challenges, and the quiet moments that shape us from the inside out. Storytelling has always been part of how I make sense of the world. I’m a children’s book author, with another book on the way, inspired by my love for helping young minds feel empowered, curious, and connected to themselves. I’ve also had the unique honor of serving as an assistant producer on a spiritual documentary that later found its way onto Netflix — a project that beautifully bridged science, consciousness, and the deeper questions we all carry about life and purpose. Outside of my professional world, I’m a mom, a horse and dog-lover, a traveler, and a lifelong learner. I find joy in simple things — morning coffee, deep conversations, laughter with my kids, and long walks to reset and reflect. I believe growth doesn’t have to be dramatic or complicated; often it’s simply choosing to show up more honestly and fearlessly each day. Everything I do, personally and professionally, is guided by the same intention: to live consciously, love deeply, and help others trust themselves enough to create lives that feel aligned, meaningful, and truly their own. I believe that every person is a human being with a story, strengths, struggles, and hopes. As a person-centered clinician, my guiding principle is to meet you exactly where you are — with warmth, presence, and genuine curiosity. My goal is to walk alongside you as you reconnect with your strengths, uncover new perspectives, help you make sense of what’s happening, and empower you to move towards a more balanced, fulfilling life.   I approach therapy from a place of genuine humanity by meeting clients as one person to another. At the heart of my work is the therapeutic relationship, built on trust, warmth, and authenticity. You don’t have to have it all figured out; we’ll take it one step at a time, together. In our work, you can expect a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can show up as you are, and genuine collaboration as we set goals and explore new ways of thinking. My approach is flexible and rooted in person-centered values, as therapy is not a one size fits all. I utilize a strengths perspective, and draw from evidence based practice to include ACT, DBT, CBT, and brief solution-focused therapy to fit your unique needs. I focus on the whole person—mind, body, relationships, culture, and values—because all parts of your story matter. Outside of session, I’m someone who loves to travel and discover new places, spend time with my family and friends, and read. I have recently picked up running and love finding new hobbies to try! I have a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and my Master's Degree in Social Work from Fayetteville State University. I am currently a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate, and I am taking my clinical exam this fall. If you’ve been looking for a therapist who is warm, accepting, and genuinely committed to walking beside you, I’d be honored to be that for you. You don’t have to have it all figured out. You just have to take one step.   I look forward to meeting you! To Schedule: info@hartintegratedwellness.com

Hello! My name is Christina Bowsher and I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) with a passion for working with children, adolescents, and young adults. I am dedicated to creating an empowering space for young people to thrive and discover new and meaningful connections. Every child is unique as well as the challenges they face. I believe in fostering a collaborative environment with children and families to grow and learn together. I have experience working in the mental health field as a Prevention Specialist with students K-12 to develop coping skills and build tools to support health and well-being throughout the lifespan. I have developed resources and trained clinicians on programs aimed at substance misuse, dating violence, and suicide prevention in addition to harmful gambling behaviors and social media overuse. That experience has helped me to understand the unique needs of children today. Adolescence is a time of discovery and self-actualization. I strive to promote creativity, self- esteem, and self-compassion as a young person navigates identity development and growing up in an ever-changing world. I utilize evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectal Behavior Therapy (DBT) in addition to art and play therapy to foster an environment of fun, learning, and growth. I am here to support you and your child on this journey and would love to be your resource as you take this next step! To Schedule: Info@hartintegratedwellness.com

Growing up can be magical, messy, exciting, and overwhelming — sometimes all before lunchtime. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSW-A), I am passionate about creating a space where children and adolescents can untangle big feelings, build confidence, and discover their inner strengths in a way that feels safe and empowering. I believe every child has a unique story, and sometimes they just need a supportive place to tell it, whether through words, play, art, laughter, or even silence. My role is not to “fix,” but to walk alongside your child with curiosity, compassion, and care as they navigate anxiety, big emotions, friendship struggles, life transitions, grief, trauma, self-esteem challenges, or behavioral concerns. Grounded in person-centered therapy and CBT, I combine warmth and collaboration with practical, skill-building strategies tailored to each child’s unique needs. With a background in inpatient facilities, after-school programs, and crisis settings, I have experience supporting children and adolescents experiencing acute mental health challenges. These experiences strengthened my ability to remain calm, compassionate, and grounded during difficult moments while reinforcing my belief in the resilience of young people. Whether a child is navigating everyday stressors or more intensive emotional struggles, I bring a steady, supportive presence and a deep commitment to their safety and well-being. My goal is to create a therapeutic environment that feels warm, engaging, and genuine, a place where children feel seen, heard, and accepted just as they are. I strive to help your child not only navigate current challenges but also build the tools and confidence they can carry with them into the future. Through our work together, I hope to foster emotional awareness, resilience, and self-trust so they feel better equipped to handle life’s ups and downs. Therapy is not just about getting through difficult moments, it is about helping children grow into empowered, capable individuals who understand their strengths and feel confident using them.

To whoever is reading this review, congratulations. No, not for the difficulties you have in your life right
now, but for seeking therapy and hitting it out of the park with your choice of counselors. You know
what? Therapy works. It works faster and is more complete with an excellent therapist. I had
previously been in counseling for years and made some tangible progress, but when I began seeing
Shannon, I looked around for a seatbelt to buckle in with. The changes in my life were almost
immediate. Working with Shannon brought my marriage back from an almost certain divorce. I have
stabilized, remained out of the hospital and all the while simultaneously titrating OFF most of my
medication. Make no mistake though… when I said therapy works, it only works as well as you WANT to
change. The life-changing therapy like I have had with Shannon, although her style is ALWAYS
supportive and caring, will not be trivial. This is an experienced counselor who mentors other
therapists. The question is, do you want your life to stay the way it is now? I didn’t. Shannon will help
you quickly identify your current priorities, where you want your life to be and how to best get there. I
can say confidently without even knowing your diagnosis, you are in the best place you can be right now
just by choosing Shannon... and get ready for some positive changes.
