Are you tired of carrying old wounds, feeling the weight of anxiety, or being in relationships that leave you drained? Maybe you feel bad setting boundaries, your mind won't stop racing, or it's difficult to feel at ease. If any of this sounds familiar, you’re in the right place. Hi, I’m Victoria! A therapist, recovering people-pleaser, and professional healer of messy relationships, anxious minds, and trauma stories. Therapy with me is about uncovering what’s holding you back and learning tools that actually work. I know how overwhelming it can be, and that’s why I’m here to help you work through the emotions, build confidence in your voice and relationships, and heal the parts of you that carry pain. I deeply care about my clients and will always show up with honesty, warmth, (humour if needed), and real support as you grow. Starting therapy can feel intimidating, kind of like trying to build IKEA furniture when you can't find the manual (or that missing screw). But you don’t have to do it alone. Together, we’ll take it one step at a time so the pieces start to fit and life begins to feel lighter again. I'm ready to help you create the life you’ve been wanting.

Hi, I’m Emilee, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate with a heart for helping people navigate life’s hardest moments. I earned my degree from Tulane University, where I focused on trauma—especially disaster and collective trauma. Before stepping into clinical work, I served as a first responder, spending years in 9-1-1 centers in both Durham and Western North Carolina. Those experiences shaped not only my career but also my understanding of resilience, community, and the importance of care during crisis. In my practice, I enjoy using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to support clients in reconnecting with their values, building self-compassion, and finding new ways forward. I'm trained in Critical Incident Stress Management, and enjoy helping though debriefings and responding during crisis events. I’m also pursuing additional training in Brainspotting to deepen my ability to help people process and heal from trauma. Outside of work, my world is full of family and creativity. I love spending time with my husband, our two kids (16 and 9), and our family cat, Bigglins. We recently moved back to Cary after a decade of life on an orchard with a small hobby farm—a season full of hard work, laughter, and lessons in simplicity. These days, you’ll often find me on the ball field cheering for my daughter, supporting my son in his academic and leadership adventures, in my craft room, or curled up with a good book. I bring not only professional training but also lived experience to my work. Alongside my background in emergency services and healthcare roles (yes, even as a CNA and a mail carrier!), I’ve walked through my own health journey with hEDS, POTS, food addiction, and bariatric surgery, as well as caregiving for loved ones facing chronic illness and end-of-life care. These experiences give me a deep appreciation for the strength it takes to face life’s challenges—and a commitment to supporting others as they find their way through. Thanks for being here—I’m glad you found your way to this space. To Schedule: info@hartintegratedwellness.com

I believe that we all face different struggles throughout life, whether they stem from past trauma, self-esteem challenges, relationship difficulties, anxiety, depression, or simply the weight of everyday stress. Often, we don’t know how to face these challenges. Sometimes, because we lack the tools, and sometimes because we doubt our ability to overcome them. I also believe that deep down, we each hold the answers we need. My role as a counselor is to help you find the space, support, and confidence to unlock those answers within yourself. Before becoming a counselor, I spent several years working with families in both public and private schools as a special educator. After starting my own family, I found myself reflecting deeply on what I wanted life and parenting to look like. My work supporting growing families through birth work further shaped my understanding of connection and resilience. Then, after my own experience with postpartum anxiety, I realized how powerful it can be to feel seen, supported, and guided during difficult transitions. That experience inspired me to become a counselor, so I could offer that same compassion and support to others. I have a passion for supporting children, adolescents, and adults to build confidence, connection, and self-awareness. Using play and relational approaches, I support children and their parents in communication, processing their emotions, and problem-solving. I am especially passionate about working with children who have ADHD or Autism and their families. I help adolescents and adults navigate identity, relationships, stress, and life changes, creating space to process emotions, build coping skills, and find balance and confidence. As a counselor, I aim to create a safe, inclusive, and collaborative space where you can explore your story and connect with your authentic self. My approach is client-centered, meaning therapy is a partnership where we work together to uncover what healing and growth look like for you. My approach is grounded in Internal Family Systems (IFS), grounded in the belief that we all hold many inner “parts” that strive to protect and guide us. I integrate techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Emotion- Focused Therapy (EFT), and attachment theory, adapting to meet your individual needs. I also approach my work through a feminist lens, acknowledging how systemic and societal factors can shape our lived experiences. To Schedule: info@hartintegratedwellness.com

I believe that every person is a human being with a story, strengths, struggles, and hopes. As a person-centered clinician, my guiding principle is to meet you exactly where you are — with warmth, presence, and genuine curiosity. My goal is to walk alongside you as you reconnect with your strengths, uncover new perspectives, help you make sense of what’s happening, and empower you to move towards a more balanced, fulfilling life.   I approach therapy from a place of genuine humanity by meeting clients as one person to another. At the heart of my work is the therapeutic relationship, built on trust, warmth, and authenticity. You don’t have to have it all figured out; we’ll take it one step at a time, together. In our work, you can expect a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can show up as you are, and genuine collaboration as we set goals and explore new ways of thinking. My approach is flexible and rooted in person-centered values, as therapy is not a one size fits all. I utilize a strengths perspective, and draw from evidence based practice to include ACT, DBT, CBT, and brief solution-focused therapy to fit your unique needs. I focus on the whole person—mind, body, relationships, culture, and values—because all parts of your story matter. Outside of session, I’m someone who loves to travel and discover new places, spend time with my family and friends, and read. I have recently picked up running and love finding new hobbies to try! I have a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and my Master's Degree in Social Work from Fayetteville State University. I am currently a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate, and I am taking my clinical exam this fall. If you’ve been looking for a therapist who is warm, accepting, and genuinely committed to walking beside you, I’d be honored to be that for you. Hello! My name is Liz (she/her), and I am a born and raised North Carolinian! I graduated from the University of South Carolina with my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and my Bachelor of Arts in Criminology in 2020. I received my Master of Social Work from Tulane University in 2024. I have four years of hands-on experience working with children and adolescents, including being a teacher in North Carolina. I am currently a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate serving as an outpatient therapist here at Hart Integrated Wellness! I started my social work career at a partial hospitalization facility for adults of all ages, where I help my clients navigate through life transitions, struggles with mental health and their diagnoses, and self-harm concerns. This experience helped me to gain clinical skills that I have combined with my experience of working with children, and so I now do individual counseling for children, teens, and young adults, as well as parents navigating different parenting challenges. From a young age, I’ve been drawn to understanding people at their core—what shaped them, what hurts, and what brings them hope. That curiosity and compassion are what guide my work as a therapist. I help clients explore the “why” behind their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors so they can gain insight, acceptance, and the tools to move forward. I welcome you exactly as you are into my space, so that we can work together to work through whatever has brought you to counseling. My goal is to create a safe, judgment-free space where you can show up exactly as you are. I’ll meet you there—with warmth, authenticity, empathy, and respect—and walk with you as you grow into the most grounded, resilient version of yourself. I take a holistic, collaborative approach, using techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based practices. I also utilize play-therapy and art-therapy based techniques. I support clients in exploring how physical, emotional, mental, and even spiritual health intersect to impact well-being. I am currently completing my SomaticTherapy Training through The Embody Lab. In my free time, I love to surround myself with my friends and family, go to yoga, read, be in nature, and travel. Being a kid, teen, or young adult today can feel like a lot. Big feelings, school stress, friendship drama, family changes, and the pressure of “what’s next.” The good news? You don’t have to face it alone. That’s what I’m here for! I love helping kids with autism build confidence, discover what makes them shine, and find tools that actually work! I also support teens and college students navigating stress, anxiety, and all the ups and downs of growing up. Therapy with me isn’t about sitting stiffly on a couch. You can show up exactly as you are, silly, anxious, quiet, loud, or overwhelmed. We’ll tackle the hard stuff, celebrate wins, and practice strategies that make life feel lighter! For my younger clients, play is the magic. I keep my space full of Play-Doh, crayons, paint, games, and fidgets! Mess, laughter, and creativity are encouraged always. Therapy here isn’t just helpful. It can be fun, exciting, and even joyful! To Schedule: info@hartintegratedwellness.com

To whoever is reading this review, congratulations. No, not for the difficulties you have in your life right
now, but for seeking therapy and hitting it out of the park with your choice of counselors. You know
what? Therapy works. It works faster and is more complete with an excellent therapist. I had
previously been in counseling for years and made some tangible progress, but when I began seeing
Shannon, I looked around for a seatbelt to buckle in with. The changes in my life were almost
immediate. Working with Shannon brought my marriage back from an almost certain divorce. I have
stabilized, remained out of the hospital and all the while simultaneously titrating OFF most of my
medication. Make no mistake though… when I said therapy works, it only works as well as you WANT to
change. The life-changing therapy like I have had with Shannon, although her style is ALWAYS
supportive and caring, will not be trivial. This is an experienced counselor who mentors other
therapists. The question is, do you want your life to stay the way it is now? I didn’t. Shannon will help
you quickly identify your current priorities, where you want your life to be and how to best get there. I
can say confidently without even knowing your diagnosis, you are in the best place you can be right now
just by choosing Shannon... and get ready for some positive changes.
