This work is deeply personal to me. I know what it feels like to be unheard or dismissed within the healthcare system, and that experience shapes the way I show up as a therapist. I strive to create a space where clients and families feel genuinely listened to, taken seriously, and supported in a way that feels human—not cold or clinical. While we can’t control what has happened to us, we can take back a sense of control in how we move forward. Together, we can make sense of difficult experiences, build healthy coping skills, strengthen resilience, and develop tools that help navigate life’s challenges with greater confidence. I primarily work with children, teens, and young adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral concerns, ADHD, school-related challenges, self-esteem struggles, life transitions, grief, and family changes. I also have experience supporting adolescents and young adults who have experienced sexual or physical abuse, relationship difficulties, mood disorders, chronic illness, and the effects of narcissistic abuse. In addition to my work with children and teens, I specialize in perinatal mental health (PMADs), partner support during the perinatal period, and helping individuals navigate the emotional challenges that can accompany pregnancy, postpartum, infertility, and early parenthood. I hold a strong passion for somatic and mind-body approaches, as our bodies often carry what we’ve been through. My style is warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth. Whether your child is struggling, your teen feels overwhelmed, or you are navigating your own season of change, I am here to provide support, understanding, and practical tools for healing and growth.

Therapy should be a place where you can be yourself—without judgment, pressure, or feeling like you need to have all the answers. Whether you're a child, teen, or adult, I provide a supportive space where you can feel heard, understood, and accepted. I work with children, adolescents, and adults facing a variety of challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, grief, parenting stress, chronic illness, chronic pain, infertility, and pregnancy loss. I am especially passionate about helping people heal from trauma, build resilience, and reconnect with themselves in meaningful ways. As a mom, military spouse, and animal lover with two giant dogs and a bunny, I understand that life doesn't always go as planned. My own experiences with chronic health challenges and infertility have strengthened my belief in the importance of compassion, connection, and support during difficult times. When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time at the beach, gardening, baking, and making memories with my family. My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth. For children, I create a safe and engaging environment where they can express themselves and develop healthy coping skills. For teens, I offer a supportive space to navigate life's challenges, build confidence, and strengthen emotional well-being. For adults, I provide a place to explore concerns, process experiences, and work toward meaningful growth and healing. Together, we'll move at a pace that feels right for you as we work toward lasting change and a more fulfilling life.

Drawing from more than 30 years of experience in corporate healthcare leadership, I understand the challenges that can arise in both personal and professional roles. Let’s be honest—life is messy, and you’re probably exhausted from pretending everything is fine. If you’re looking for a therapist who will just nod and say 'tell me more' for 50 minutes, I’m probably not the right fit. I am warm and approachable, but I’m also going to tell you like it is, challenge the BS, and help you get to the root of the problem. Grief is often an invisible experience, yet it can profoundly impact emotional connection, intimacy, sexuality, and relationships. I specialize in integrating grief counseling and sex therapy, providing a safe, affirming, and nonjudgmental space to explore the ways loss may be affecting your emotional and physical well-being. Whether you are experiencing a loss of desire following a significant life event, struggling to reconnect with your partner after a crisis, or navigating challenges related to grief or intimacy independently, therapy can help you process your experiences and move toward healing. Together, we will address both the emotional and relational impacts of loss while fostering resilience, connection, and personal growth. I am also passionate about supporting women as they navigate the emotional and psychological impacts of hysterectomy, infertility, reproductive health concerns, hormonal changes, aging, and other significant life transitions. Additionally, I work with men experiencing sexual concerns and intimacy-related challenges. My approach incorporates Reality Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Existential Therapy, and Gottman Method interventions for couples, tailoring treatment to your unique needs and goals. These topics can feel deeply personal and sometimes difficult to discuss. My goal is to create a warm, supportive, and judgment-free environment where clients feel comfortable exploring sensitive issues at their own pace. Together, we can address the emotional, relational, and identity-related challenges that often accompany these experiences, helping you move toward healing, self-understanding, and greater fulfillment. I will stand along side with you as we navigate your healing journey. No jargon, just real talk, humor, and a solid strategy to get you feeling better. I am an endometrial cancer survivor. In my free time I love to travel and take photos. I enjoy putting on concerts in my car as I drive or clean or do just about anything. I love to explore new places and learn about other people's culture. I love to learn. I relax by gardening, reading, and watching my favorite movies

Hello! My name is Christina Bowsher and I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) with a passion for working with children, adolescents, and young adults. I am dedicated to creating an empowering space for young people to thrive and discover new and meaningful connections. Every child is unique as well as the challenges they face. I believe in fostering a collaborative environment with children and families to grow and learn together. I have experience working in the mental health field as a Prevention Specialist with students K-12 to develop coping skills and build tools to support health and well-being throughout the lifespan. I have developed resources and trained clinicians on programs aimed at substance misuse, dating violence, and suicide prevention in addition to harmful gambling behaviors and social media overuse. That experience has helped me to understand the unique needs of children today. Adolescence is a time of discovery and self-actualization. I strive to promote creativity, self- esteem, and self-compassion as a young person navigates identity development and growing up in an ever-changing world. I utilize evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectal Behavior Therapy (DBT) in addition to art and play therapy to foster an environment of fun, learning, and growth. I am here to support you and your child on this journey and would love to be your resource as you take this next step!

Seeking therapy is an intentional and courageous step toward becoming more fully yourself, while gently releasing the negative patterns, beliefs, and narratives that no longer support the life you want to live. It’s a space where growth is honored, where healing unfolds at your own pace, and where letting go can be just as powerful as moving forward. I would be honored to support you in rediscovering your inner resilience, reconnect with your authentic self, and cultivate a life rooted in clarity, compassion, and meaningful change. As a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA), my style is person-centered,trauma-informed, and holistic. I blend evidence-based psychotherapies including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Brainspotting, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Psychoanalysis, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), with mind-body approaches such as somatic awareness and sound-based mindfulness. Likewise, my PhD in Communication deeply shapes the way I show up as a counselor. It allows me to attune not only to what is being said, but also to what may be felt, implied, or held in silence, helping us gently uncover patterns in relationships, meaning-making, and emotional expression. Thank you for taking this brave step, and I look forward to supporting you!

Life can be both beautiful and brutal. We can feel inspired by the richness around us while simultaneously overwhelmed by family expectations, societal pressures, and endless responsibilities. Together we'll work to reconnect and create pathways that honor you while navigating the realities of a complex world. I integrate a compassionate-forward practice with evidence-based methods and interventions. I am an attachment oriented, experiential therapist who focuses on the defining power of emotion as a core organizing component of one's mental and emotional life and relationships. Life isn't about finding the shortest route to success; it's about having the courage to wander, to reconnect with those you love, and to trust that every path you take teaches you something essential about who you are and where you belong.

Being a kid, teen, young adult, (or parent!) today is really hard. There’s so much to keep up with; school pressure, friendships, family dynamics, social media, big changes, and even bigger emotions. It can feel overwhelming, and sometimes it’s hard to know what kind of support will actually make a difference. You don’t have to figure it all out on your own. I work with children, teens, young adults, and families to create a space that feels comfortable, supportive, and easy to walk into. I love supporting clients and families through a range of experiences, including ADHD, autism, anxiety, depression, eating concerns, and life transitions, while helping to build understanding, confidence, and tools that feel meaningful and doable. Before becoming a therapist, I spent years working in schools as both an educator and a school counselor. Because of that, I really understand how much of life happens at school, and how challenging it can be for both kids and parents to navigate. I love helping families work through things like academic stress, social challenges, school transitions, behavior concerns, and school support plans and advocacy, so that things can start to feel more manageable day to day. My approach is very relational and personalized. With younger kids, that often means incorporating play, art, creativity, and movement to help them open up and build skills in ways that feel natural. With teens and young adults, it might look like talking things through, building insight, and finding practical tools to actually use in real life. I also work closely with parents, offering support and guidance along the way. Starting therapy can feel like a big step, but it doesn’t have to feel intimidating. If you’re looking for a place where you or your child can feel understood, supported, and a little more at ease, I would love to connect.
